One myth that is very popular is the toning myth. You hear: "I just want to tone up" or "What is a good toning exercise", but in reality there is nothing like toning.
What people refer to when they use the term toning, is low body fat and solid muscle definition. Although you can`t do toning exercises (because they do not exist), you can get the desired results by lowering your body fat and working out.By lowering your body fat and exercising you will get rock hard and defined muscles with other words you will become "toned".
So the bottom line is, that you can get the results you are aiming for when you use the term toning, but use words like lowering body fat and exercising to describe your goals. Toning is not a word.
